New Patients
Aderman Family Dentistry, your family’s dentist
Welcome to our practice! We are excited that you have chosen us as your family dentist. Whether you are coming to see us for a routine teeth cleaning or you have a concern, we hope that you find our office to be all that you expected and more.
What to expect at your first family dentist appointment
Starting with your first visit, we strive to make you feel comfortable and confident when you walk into our office. Our goal is to provide the highest quality dental care possible with a gentle touch. We take this seriously, which means that your first visit will be a little longer than typical.
During your first appointment, we will spend some time introducing ourselves and getting to know you a little better. This includes discussing your past experience with dental care, while also reviewing your medical history and current medications. All this information will allow us to make personalized treatment recommendations moving forward.
In addition to getting to know you so we can provide individualized dental care, your first family dentist appointment will also include:
- A comprehensive exam of your teeth, gums, mouth and jaw
- A full-mouth series of x-rays
- Non-invasive oral cancer screening
This initial exam will take approximately one hour and may include a teeth cleaning if you are scheduling an appointment for preventative care. If you have tooth sensitivity, cavities or other concerns, personalized treatment plans will be developed before leaving the office.
What to Bring
For your initial visit, please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to complete the new patient forms for yourself and any family members scheduled for dental care. In addition, we ask that you bring the following information to each appointment.
- Insurance cards
- Recent dental x-rays (if applicable)
- Driver’s license or state ID
- List of current medications
- List of questions or concerns you may have
